We want to give you some more detail about the church we want to become. These are our priorities, the areas into which we will invest our time, energy and money.
- Worship – Intimate and passionate worship will be at the heart of all we do. We want worship God with our whole beings through the culture current music God has given us. We also want to worship him through the sacrifice of our time, energy and resources.
- The Bible – We value the Bible as central to all of life. We believe that Biblically centred teaching changes our thinking, feeling and acting. Our desire is to apply the truth found in the Bible into our daily lives.
- Community – We believe that God has designed us to live our lives in shared relationships of support and nurture. This means being family to one another in a loving, caring community. We want to promote healthy relationships in our families, church, city and with the wider church. Our desire is to provide a safe environment where relationships can be formed both with one another and with God.
- Serving – We believe that Christians are called to serve Jesus by serving the world. We are committed to the ministries of sharing the gospel, healing the sick and caring for the disadvantaged.
- Training – We want to be a church that equips everyone to serve and grow in the skills needed to be effective in growing God’s kingdom.
- Sending – We want to be a church that is a blessing to others. To do this we want to give away our money, resources and people in order to extend the kingdom of God. We desire to see more new churches planted and also to support world mission.
- Prayer – We want to be rooted on prayer in all that we do, recognising that we depend on God’s presence, power and direction. We also want to develop and encourage the prayer life of everyone connected with the church.
